Tuesday September 1, 2009 - New Month, New Song

God has put a new song in my heart this morning - Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness; morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided; great is Thy faithfulness Lord unto me.

We can say we trust the Lord and think we mean it, but the rubber meets the road whe we can't see a way; when all of our resources are gone and we cannot fix it ourself.

Throughout our lives things happen that you never expect to happen to you - health issues, death , job loss, divorce - all the security we have stockpiled is gone and you see no way to rebuild what you had; life looks pretty bleak - all the things you planned to do, places to visit all that seem impossible, just trying to manage day to day to stay positive and not give in to the "what ifs" and "what am I going to do now" is all you can do.

Through everything I have been through in the past few years God has remained faithful to me, He cheers my heart and pours out His love on me in so many ways it just boggles my mind. He has shown me what is truely important - my heart, my family, time with those I love.

I went to bed last night wondering how we are going to manage and God woke me with a song telling me how - through His faithfulness.

Have a blessed day - and call that person, or hug someone you see needs cheering up or at the least smile at those around you.
